Fiber Farm Summer Camp: Spinning, Dyeing & Weaving for ages 9-12 August 3-7, 2026

This week is full of wonder, fresh air and exploration as we delve into the amazing world of fiber and plant dyes!  Campers will hand card wool from our merino sheep and learn to drop spin it into yarn. We will harvest dye plants, experience the magic of indigo and explore the rainbow of plant dyed colors while dyeing our hand spun yarn and strips of fabric to use for weaving projects.  Farm walks and visits to the merino sheep will be a daily activity. All supplies included in cost. This camp is open to kids ages 9-12 years old. Camp size is limited to 10 campers.

This summer day camp runs Monday-Friday 9am to noon daily from August 3-7, 2026.

Registration deadline is the week prior to camp Monday July 27, 2026.

We require a minimum of four participants, if the minimum number is not met and camp is canceled, a full refund will be issued. If your child is registered and unable to attend, a 50% refund will be issued if we are notified at least 10 business days prior to the start of camp. No refunds will be issued for dropped registrations less than 10 business days prior to the start of camp.

Farm camp details: 

• Camp will be held in outdoor spaces around the farm as well as in The Studio building on the farm.  
• As we will be out in the sun, hats and sunscreen are advised.
• Campers are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a mid morning snack.  
• The camp is run by Heidi Lantz-Trissel, owner of Simple Hill Farm.
